On Becoming a Healer
The first phase of my life was as a musician; in addition to piano, I studied electronic music in college, learned audio engineering, and worked for Yamaha when the first successful digital synthesizer was introduced: the DX-7.
But my first recording was done with my parent’s console piano, on a tiny Craig tape recorder, on which I managed to overdub a toy xylophone- at double speed! So it was quite early that I began to experiment with frequencies of all kinds… |
In the second phase, I continued to work with music and audio equipment, but as a manufacturer’s rep. During this time I became fascinated with biofeedback… which led to meditation… which led to tai chi and then QiGong, organically channeling me towards healing practices. (QiGong is an ancient form of what is now called "Energy Medicine").
So I learned techniques that I could use to heal myself, and heal others, and continued deepening in my study of Healing Qigong. (Currently, I am a student of Master Zhongxian Wu). All the while I continued studying many types of energy medicine and healing forms, attending ISSSEEM and IONS conventions, and practicing my art on friends, family, and anyone truly in need.
Upon retiring from the rep firm I had founded, I moved to Arizona and worked as a Hospice volunteer, and then finally decided to pursue a Master’s Degree at Holos University, receiving my degree (MTh in Theology) in 2011. That same year I was ordained as an All Faiths Church minister, which informs both my spiritual counseling and my healing work.
All of us love technology, though- and I still use many frequency-based approaches in my counseling practice. But a machine is only as good as its operator, so I make sure that the role of Spirit is foremost in our sessions, informing all of what we do together.
I"m happy to discuss any aspects of what I have shared here if you have further questions!
